How To Develop A Social Media Marketing Strategy

Internet marketing has been around since the beginning of the world wide web. While marketing strategies such as paid advertisements, press releases and search engine optimization are frequently used, you may consider adding social media to your marketing repertoire. Since social media has the potential to reach virtually everyone with an Internet connection, it has evolved into one of the most powerful marketing tools on the Internet today. With a few simple guidelines you can easily develop a social media marketing strategy to suit your needs. Social media is quite simply word of mouth advertising with the potential to spread from everyone who is connected. Since social media marketing relies heavily on a "they tell their friends" system you will want to initially target your desired audience. By exposing your particular website, product or service to those who will likely have greater interest you will set in motion a chain reaction. Those who find your content interesting will … [Read more...]

Weight Loss and The Uphill Battle

How many of you have struggled with your weight? If you have you can understand the title about it being an uphill battle. I tend to go up and down on the scales, and all the bouncing does is discourage me. I have to remember though, just because the numbers on the scale say one thing, that doesn't mean I am not losing weight. Losing weight is somewhat like a train ride, it goes in many directions. Which direction it stays going is up to us. We will either continue to lose weight by eating healthier and exercising, or we will steer off the track and hit up those junk foods that keep reeling us in. We have to keep in mind which is strong our need to lose weight, or our want for that junk food. Often times it is hard to decide, and often we jump off track to grab that junk. However, did you know one piece of cake can be roughly 600 calories! If we look at our food intake as numbers and we keep those numbers to a certain point we can do it! Now I am not saying it will happen over … [Read more...]

Helping With Inflammation

I remember when I was younger I was climbing trees and jumping ramps. Most our neighborhood friends were boys, so we had to be tough. I have to say though, now that I am hitting mid thirties I regret the crazy things I did as a child. My body is feeling it now. I often wake up with muscle pain, just from doing small things. I remember when we moved back here last month, I think I was sore for almost a week. My husband kept saying I was just out of shape, and it was good for me. I agree I am out of shape, however, sometimes it's hard to do things with all the pain my body is in, and it's a daily basis not just once in awhile. After I showed him I was covered in bruises he started to feel bad for making me help him load a thousand pound lawn mower into the moving truck. Okay, so it might not be a thousand pounds, but it was HEAVY. With all the joint, and muscle pain I suffer daily, I have been really thinking about trying Nopalea. After all it is made with the fruit from a Nopal … [Read more...]

Amber Alert Canceled.

The Amber Alert for the two Bain girls has ended. They were found yesterday, and the abductor took his own life. Adam Mayes was a very selfish person, now these two girls will no longer have their mom or their older sister. It is unclear at this time the main reason, Adam Mayes's wife claims he thought the two younger girls were his. We can only assume the reason this all took place was because the family was moving to Arizona, and Adam Mayes didn't want the mom to take the girls. It is not clear as of right now if Adam was indeed the girls real dad or not. However, Adam is now dead and will never stand trial for the dead of the mom and older sister, or the kidnapping of them all. His wife and mother though are not so lucky. His wife is facing 4 counts of kidnapping, as well as murder charges. I don't think she was involved in the murder however she was there when the murders took place. These girls will have a long recover road a head of them. Please keep them in your … [Read more...]

Fighting Games and Their Accessories

My nephew is huge into the Xbox. One of his favorite games is Call of Duty. So when it comes birthdays or holidays I do my best to get him the accessories he needs. I mean whether it is a game or something for a game. When he came to me and asked if I could get him a throat microphone  for Christmas I was a bit confused. At first I was thinking he was talking about the thing my Uncle Al used because he couldn't talk because of the whole in his throat. So he used this microphone. I was wonder why he was wanting a microphone for call of duty. Then after he explain to me what it was, I better understood. However, it can be a bit hard to understand when a 13 year old explains things so I took it upon myself to look up exactly what he was wanting.  I still am having a hard time understanding why he is wanting one, since he does have a wireless headset already. Then again, I do have a child myself so I know how kids can be. They need ALL the accessories for their systems whether they … [Read more...]

Saving Money On Prescription Eyeglasses

I don't think no one will argue the fact that glasses to some people are like wheels to cars. They're a must have item to some, and the price of these must have items, can be pretty expensive. In the state of TN if you wear glasses you must get an eye exam every year. Why? Because your eye prescription is only good for a year, then it expires. Eye exams a lone can cost an arm and a leg if you don't have insurance. Every two years I am supposed to get a field vision test done, well without insurance this test is $150!!! That is not including the eye exam of $85. Plus, you have to factor in the cost of prescription glasses. By the time we are all said and done, IF I was to take the route of doing everything at my local eye doctor it would cost me close to $450 a year. I don't know about you, but I know of a bunch of other things, I could spend that money on... for starters a mini vacation for the family. So when it comes time to get my eye exam, I am the one opting out of getting … [Read more...]

Depression and What Causes It

Often times it's hard to pin point what causes depression. However, everyone lives with some sort of depression. Often times people try to deal with their depression on their own, they often feel if they tell someone how they feel, they will be labeled. For many years I hid my depression from everyone. I was so good at it, I had myself thinking I was fine. One day I went to the doctor, I was good at pretending. However, the doctor made me break, and I broke down. She new right then I was going through a lot more than what I was letting on. She even told me I was pretty good at hiding it. Did you know when you hide your feelings, it will only eat at you more, and lead to something that cannot be undone? Am I fixed? No I will never be fixed, I will always have that depression there. The depression stems way back to my childhood. However, I am learning to "deal" with it better. I am on medicine for the issue, I cannot say they help completely, but it does help some. I also won't lie … [Read more...]
