As I sit here looking at the Calendar I see we are already almost done with February, it seems like 2013 only just begun yet it's going pretty fast. Sometimes I just wish time would slow down a bit so I could enjoy life more with my family. I wake up do what I need to do on the computer, and by the time I am remotely done, the day is almost over. Mondays to many mean a new start of the school week or work week. With being homeschoolers and with working from the home Mondays are nothing but another day to us, however, I sit here with the Monday Blues. I guess you can say it's because Monday is when I get the majority of the work done that I put off during the weekend. Working from home can sometimes be more stressful than working at an office. Eating healthy can be a challenge! Not long ago my husband and I decided it was time to make a change in what we ate. We both felt run down, and had no energy to do the things we enjoyed. One of our biggest weaknesses was all those products that were loaded in carbs. Pasta, pizza, bread, if it had carbs in it, we probably loved it. With making changes we decided we would get products that were a bit better for us. We decided when we made pizza's we would use low carb pita bread. I found this to not only be healthier, but as a busy mom, it's also takes less time. With making smaller pizza's everyone can have what they want on them, with no one fussing about what ingredients are on the pizza. While we still are eating those carbs we love, we are being more creative, and eating products lower in carbs. With technology advancing more and more people are using credit cards and other ways electronically to make purchases via the Internet.  This is opening people up to getting not only their credit card numbers taken, but also allowing hackers to take on their whole identity. Once they assume your identity they will start destroying your life. Some will attempt to get loans in your name, make big purchases via the Internet with your credit cards, and some of these thieves have even attempted to make even bigger purchases using your identity such as purchasing homes and cars. The sad thing about this, is often times this activity is gone unnoticed. Since technology is advancing, it is becoming easier for those hackers to assume our identities. How many of you hate what you do? How many of you wish you were doing something else? It's never to late to switch careers. There's a famous saying said by Confucius who was a Chinese thinker and social philosopher, he said “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” I heard this saying many times growing up, I never listened to it and now I preach this saying to my daughter in hopes that when she gets older, she will go for something so loves doing, even if it means she has to go to college for awhile. I want her to not only be successful, but to love what she does, so she doesn't have to work a day in her life, because she will love her work. With having worked different jobs in different fields, now that I work from home, I do love what I am doing. I do wish though that I knew more than one language so that I could expand what I do. With being 800 miles from my family we tend to take to video chatting. The other day when my daughter was chatting with my nieces via skype, my nieces kept telling my daughter they couldn't see her. She too was having an issue seeing them, however, she didn't say anything, she was more wanting the voice. With video chatting becoming more and more popular having good lighting is a must! With people of all ages taking to video chat to keep in contact with family members from all over the world, being in a dim room can ruin the quality of the chat. I would rather focus my time on catching up verses trying to make out the image on my computer.
