How To Select The Best Christian Gifts For Him

Close friends, family and loved ones all appreciate gifts that are meaningful and symbolic to them. Gifts that reflect the recipient's faith are a great way to show that you care. Choosing the right Christian gifts for him may seem difficult, but its easy to find a great selection of gifts for him that also relate to his religion of choice. While matters of faith can be a sensitive subject to some, giving a gift of this type is a great way to show that you respect the person's beliefs, whether you share them or not. Birthday's, Christmas or just to show your appreciation are great occasions when a Christian themed gift would be perfect. Men's jewelry, dress accessories and office decor can all be purchased that also represent the Christian faith. If your husband, friend or relative is a Christian man, you can choose from simple symbols of faith such as crucifixes or items featuring portraits of Jesus Christ. Whether you're looking for something that says a little or tells an entire … [Read more...]

What I Want and What I Get

Are two different things! I do plan for 2013 to be a lot different over here on Dizzy Mommy Chronicles. However, I have been sick and trying to juggle everything at once is impossible! I do have some posts in the works, a few recipes, a few helpful tips when it comes to grocery shopping, and even some awesome uses for pinterest. One thing I dislike is I will start a post and in the middle get called away from the computer, the post goes in draft never to be seen again! This weekend I am going to sit down and help those lost in draft find their way back to the top! As Bob the Builder always says... Can We Fix? Yes, We Can! … [Read more...]

What I Want For 2013

I know I have not been the best at blogging over here and for that I am sorry. I get so wrapped up in everything else I do I sometimes forget about Dizzy Mommy Chronicles. Running to blogs, homeschooling, entering giveaways, plus trying to find time for family can be tough. What I would love to happen in 2013 is put more crafting/homeschooling articles on Dizzy Mommy Chronicles. Maybe even some recipes. I have even thought about going a small section for my daughter and having her attempt to blog about once a week as part of her schooling. While 2013 has only just started I have a lot in mind for the new year. A makeover is also possibly in the work. So to start the year off this plans and goals for 2013 on Dizzy Mommy Chronicles are... Make-Over Blog more often on topics such as homeschooling and crafts Attempt to get my daughter blogging on Dizzy Mommy Chronicles Add some recipes maybe a weekly recipe Clean up the site And finally ... Work on … [Read more...]

Choose Monarch Dental For Your Dental Needs

Guest post written by Katya M Whether you are young or old, going to the dentist regularly is very important. They not only clean your teeth; they also can detect teeth and gum problems before they get too serious. If you are currently looking for a new dentist, you should consider Monarch Dental. It has been around for nearly 15 years and is the largest provider of support services to dental groups in the United States. The staff members will make you feel very comfortable during your first visit and treat you with a lot of respect. During your first visit, a dentist will give you a complete oral examination and possibly clean your entire mouth. If he finds any problems, such as gum disease, tooth decay or oral cancer, he will suggest the type of treatment you will need. The typical first appointment should not last longer than an hour and a half. Make sure to bring your dental x-rays and insurance card with you to make things go by faster. Whether you need to get cavities … [Read more...]

Top 5 Christmas Songs

I haven't really been in the Christmas spirit for the past few years. Last year we didn't bother to wrap gifts, and this year we just gave our daughter things as soon as we got them. As she gets older Christmas isn't as exciting. Next year we are doing a traditional Christmas, tree, lights, presents wrapped and all! We will also be playing MY favorite holiday songs. Which include... #1) Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer #2) Frosty the Snowman #3) Deck the Halls #4) Silent Night #5) Jingle Bells What are some of your favorite Christmas songs? … [Read more...]

Fun Vacations

Growing up we spent a lot of time on the water. We did a lot of boating, one thing I disliked most about boating and getting into the water was the boats I were to ride in never had ladders. This made getting in the boat a tad difficult when we would stop to picnic off the little beaches. When I got older I learned they make ladders for this very reason! Did you know they even make boarding ladders for yachts? I have never been on a yacht personally, but I dream of going on one in the ocean. I would love to head on down to Florida on vacation, and see about getting one of those tour boats. My husband has talked about renting a yacht for the day and going peacock bass fishing. I am not much for fishing, but I will be more than willing to head out to sea on a yacht. While my husband and daughter fish, and enjoy the weather and the view. I have seen so many pretty pictures from family and friends who have had the pleasure of vacationing in Florida. The water from the Ocean is so … [Read more...]

Mamavation Monday: How do you eat healthy?

I think the biggest challenge for my family is trying to continue to eat healthy, and pinch pennies! I laughed at my husband this weekend as we were watching a T.V. marathon of "Extreme Couponing." He started going on and on about how much money we could save, and why did I stop couponing to begin with?? I started to point out to him - LOOK at what they are buying. 200 candy bars, 125 boxes of sugar-filled cereals, 400 2 liters of pop. Yes they are saving a ton of money, but on what? These are not meals for your family for the week, it's not a balanced diet. (NOTE: I am NOT against couponing, however, on a limited budget and even more limited time, right now this is NOT my focus). It is not cheap to eat healthy. Produce, fresh meat, is expensive. When I run to the store after work just to pick up stuff for dinner that night I'm looking at spending $40 plus dollars just for one meal! I have realized I need to plan ahead and plan my meals according to sales and what deals I … [Read more...]

Vote to Label GMO’s

So as most of you know I'm part of a FANTASTIC group of Mom's in a community called Mamavation.  Mamavation™ is a online docudrama and weight loss support group for moms in social media. It’s both a campaign and Virtual Sorority™ in one. Leah posted on Mamavations site about the importance of Labeling GMO's, and I wanted to share it with you. One million. That is the amount of signatures it took to get GMO labeling on the California ballot. And it’s going to take a million more people to vote, give, and support the movement till the November election to win. Our basic purpose revolves around freedom and transparency. We have the right to know what is in our food. Label GMOs and give the people a choice. The CA Right to Know Initiative, or Prop 37 on the California ballot, was created by the people. Several other states have tried and failed, but California is different because of the initiative process. California actually allows it’s own citizens to create laws. That … [Read more...]
