I have been a little less active over here, and I apologize. There has been a lot going on in my personal life, and well sometimes our personal lives have to come first. Shortly after moving back to Michigan, I went to seek professional help. Yup, I am a bit crazy and I knew I needed something. A lot had happened in my childhood, and I hang on to those demons. I need help in letting go, so that I can be a good wife and mother. I got put on some meds to somewhat help me, however, meds are only a temporary fix. I need to learn to cope with what has happened. I was making great progress, then a bunch of crap happened, and I had a set back. Now that we are back in our own home, I can hopefully begin to actually heal from things that have happened in the past, and make my future more positive. I may turn this blog into a more personal blog, so that I can help others in the same situation I face daily. Living with anxiety and depression is not fun, and in order for parents living with … [Read more...]
Heading Back South
My family will be heading back South soon, and I have to admit I am pretty excited. Well, I am and I am not. I am because it is our home, and I can run around in a tshirt and panties, and not have to worry about nothing. Plus, living with others can be stressful. Things didn't go as they were supposed to up here, and to be honest, I shouldn't be surprised. My eyes were blinded and I thought people could change. However, some people will never change, and I have now learned that. I have learned the people not in my life are not in my life for a reason, and sometimes you should just leave them in the past. A lot of good did come out of being here though, and for that I am thankful. I am thankful my mom is back in my life, and I am thankful I have had the time to spend with my sister and her awesome babies. I am sad because I will miss them all, but thank goodness for the cell phone, and the internet right? I am not looking forward to the long drive back home, we decided my husband … [Read more...]
Choosing the Right Kind of Mother’s Day Gift
There is not a doubt in anyone's mind that our moms have a tremendous effect on our lives, and that they do a lot of things to help us out and to also make sure that we have all of the things that we need in order to become healthy balanced people. They do things like nurse us through illnesses, and they all seem to make sacrifices for the benefit of their children. They do not have to do things like this, but they make these kinds of choices because they love us, and not because they have to. There are a lot of gifts that you can choose for the mom in your life, whether it is your mom, or someone else's mom. One of the things that you can choose as a great Mother's Day gifts are things like gift cards, or even items from your mom's favorite store will be something that she is sure to appreciate and love. Each mom is going to be different, and have different things that they like and dislike. There are not often going to be two moms who like the same thing, just like there are not … [Read more...]
Protecting Yourself From Fraud
If you are new to the business world, you probably are looking for ways to better your company, and to get a better understanding on how things are done. One of the main things about running a company is not only keeping your customers and employees happy, it's also about protecting your company from fraud. I have been working on starting a business for awhile now, and one of my main focuses is creating opportunity for others, as well as protecting my business against fraud. While doing research I learned about a company that holds events that not only show business owners how to protect themselves against fraud, but also how to create those opportunities I am looking to create. As a business owner you can never have to much knowledge, you can however have not enough. I decided to look deeper into this company so I searched "Marcus Evans review". I learned the company is not only well known, but they are very successful in what they do. I also learned they hold conferences to … [Read more...]
Remembering
This past week, I have been sitting over at my moms, remembering the old times. Remembering things from when I was about 6 years old. How far back do you remember things? My memory is faded in somethings that happened, but in other things I can see them as clear as day. For instance when I was about 6 or so, my sister and I decided to get in a tar fight with the neighbor boys. That was some fun stuff, I remember playing hide n seek in the Christmas tree field behind our home, and I remember when there was a family that lived above us, and we would sneak up the stairs, and talk to them through their bathroom. I remember almost every detail of the home we lived in before it had burnt down, I can even tell you the color carpet it had. I was about 8 at the time. It is amazing on what sort of things one can remember. Now I cannot remember somethings from my teenage years, but things with my brother before he passed, I remember like they had just happened. Do you ever sit there and … [Read more...]
Coming Soon Recipes!
I love cooking, and soon I will be posting more recipes. I am what you may call an experimental cook. If I don't have much on hand I will make the most with what I have. Sometimes it is a bust and sometimes it is amazing. As soon as we get back to Tennessee I will be working on living a healthier lifestyle. I recently found out I have Arthrosis in both knees, so that means I must lose a lot of weight to help take some weight off my knees. I am on meds that I will probably have to take for the rest of my life. I probably would have never found this out, if we were not staying at my sisters. She has a lot of stairs, and walking them was killing my knees. My doctor wanted to send me in for xrays, and sure enough she seen the problem. I also just found out bad knees run in the family so being fat, and having bad knees is not a good thing. Once I get rid of some of this fat, and am able to move a bit better. I know it won't be hard to get rid of a bunch more fat. My husband is … [Read more...]
Last Day Of Winter
So today is the last day of winter here in Michigan, and we hit a whopping 82 degrees! I cannot believe I just said that, I can never remember Michigan being this hot in March. I remember when my husband and I first met, it was in April, the middle of April at that and it was snowing. This winter in Michigan has been so weird. I am glad we had a mild one for the sake of us from Tennessee, but I wish my daughter would have actually been able to see what a winter is about. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks, we will be on our way back to Tennessee, and trying to return back to our life. I am glad we were able to come up to Michigan for a short period so we could spend time with my family. For money reasons, I wish we would have stayed in Tennessee. Alot of things happened after we got up here, and well yea. I am just ready to go back home, ready to be in my own bathroom, ready to sleep in a tshirt and panties if I want, and ready to just be me. … [Read more...]
Google+
How many of you love Google+? I personally never got the hang of it, and I think all the social media platforms I am on, is enough. I remember when the main site I went to was Myspace. I loved being able to change my background, and bitch about people on my own little world. Then facebook came a long, and I hated it. Until one day my husband got on it, and I decided to give it a try. Needless to say I somewhat like it, and I am on it often throughout the day. Google+ I have a feeling will not make it far, Google will not allow people to have their accounts private. Sometimes I don't want to be found, and the whole thing confuses me. I like some of the features, but I don't think those features are enough to keep it going strong. Don't get me wrong I love Google, but I think they maybe better off being the top search engine. I have recently noticed with Chrome, it runs a ton of processes and bogs my computer down. I hope Google+ pulls through for those who do like it, and I … [Read more...]
Getting Great Deals
I love getting good deals. I have been keeping an eye on nomorerack.com, a friend of mine has been scoring some great deals, and it is never to early to start shopping for the holidays. How many of you begin Christmas shopping the day after Christmas? I do! I love hitting up those markdown racks the day after. Not to mention all the deal sites. I have noticed the deal sites, have more deals during the Summer months. Nomorerack has always been one of my favorite go to sites when I want to pick up a few things here and there for family and friends. When you purchase items on sale, you will be able to get everyone on your list a great gift. I have scored some nice electronics for over half off, by doing all my shopping early. It seems like the stores up the price during the holidays. If you are one of those that wait until the last minute to do your shopping, I suggest you take a few minutes from your day and check out the deal sites, and see what all you can score for cheap. … [Read more...]
Geocaching
With the weather being really nice my family has been enjoying the woods! We went on a nice little hike today and decided to do a little geocaching. I dislike the geocaches in town, love being able to hike in the woods to find treasures. I have found the ones in the wilderness have more items for trade in them as well. Today while we were out we seen two snakes! Snakes already are out in Michigan. Since we started geocaching on November 23 we have found a total of 63 geocaches. I wish we were going to still be up here this Summer, because we would travel Michigan looking for geocaches. When we get back home we will be putting our own geocaches out all over TN. I want to get a better handheld gps unit though. A nice garmin or something. One day I will have me a handheld. Have you geocached? If not I highly recommend it, something fun to do for the whole family. Today we walked about 2 miles, and I can feel it all over. … [Read more...]
