Often times I find myself sitting here with a sweet tooth. Nine times out of ten we don't have much in the house for sweets. With living a healthier lifestyle we don't bring in a bunch of junk. I remember in the day we always had ice cream in the freezer and the pantry was stocked with the latest junk food. Now we have whole wheat products and veggies. Who can go wrong with some yummy veggies, right? However, veggies cannot settle a sweet tooth. For this I like to keep some great baking products on hand. Last night one of those sweet tooth urges came on and in the kitchen I went. Chocolate pudding was on my mind, and in about 15 minutes I had it in the freezer chilling. One thing I like about this dessert is I can have a piece and not feel guilty afterwards. Now if I don't stop at one piece then yes I can feel guilty! I also … [Read more...]

How many have you get a sweet tooth? Did you know one piece of cake can average a full meals worth of calories... Not only is this little treat tasty, it will also help you watch the waistline. If you want you can add about a tsp of olive oil, I just do dark chocolate and strawberries. If you want more just do a bigger batch. Chocolate Covered Strawberries: Ingredients: 8 oz. Dark Chocolate 1/2 lb. strawberries 1 tsp olive oil (optional, by leaving this out, you also leave out some calories) Directions: Prepare your strawberries, wash them, cut the tops off then sit them aside.
