Chocolate Pudding Recipe

Often times I find myself sitting here with a sweet tooth. Nine times out of ten we don’t have much in the house for sweets. With living a healthier lifestyle we don’t bring in a bunch of junk. I remember in the day we always had ice cream in the freezer and the pantry was stocked with the latest junk food.

Now we have whole wheat products and veggies. Who can go wrong with some yummy veggies, right? However, veggies cannot settle a sweet tooth. For this I like to keep some great baking products on hand. Last night one of those sweet tooth urges came on and in the kitchen I went. Chocolate pudding was on my mind, and in about 15 minutes I had it in the freezer chilling.

Have a sweet tooth, but no sweets in the house? Have milk, cocoa, sugar, vanilla extract, and cornstarch? Well fear not your sweet tooth will be happy in a moment.

Chocolate Pudding from scratch recipe.

What you need:

1/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup cocoa

1/4 cup cornstarch

3 cups of Milk

1 tsp Vanilla extract

In a medium sauce pan add your first three ingredients, then slowly add the milk. Stir so the mix does stick to the bottom of the pain. Soon it will start to thicken at this point you remove from the heat add the vanilla and place in the freezer to chill.

If you want something like fudgesicles leave in the freezer over night, if you want pudding stir every 30 minutes until it’s cold and enjoy.
