Weight Loss “Bucket” List

I was reading an article online that suggested making a list of the reasons why you want to lose weight. The article refereed to this as a “Why” list or a bucket list for weight loss. I decided this might just be a good idea, so I have a way to look back at all the reasons I want to or need to lose weight.

I think this will help me when I am getting discouraged.

Why I Want To Lose Weight

  1. To have more confidence about myself
  2. To be healthier
  3. To get off metformin
  4. To reduce my anxiety
  5. To feel better
  6. To be able to fit in smaller and cuter clothes
  7. To have more sex with my husband
  8. To get pregnant

My overall reason to lose the weight is to become not only healthier on the outside, but also to become healthier on the inside. My weight causes me severe anxiety and bad self esteem. I want to walk in a store with confidence and not walk in the store and think everyone is watching me and making fun because of my weight.

With having struggled a large part of my life with weight issues, it’s time I deal with the issues head on. I currently have insulin resistance, this is because of my weight and if I don’t resolve this matter I will most likely end up with diabetes. This is NOT something I want and taking Metformin the rest of my life is NOT an option.

Metformin and I don’t get along, I have been taking it now for 3 months and the side effects you would have thought would have went away are still here, this limits what I can do for about 6 hours after being up in the morning. I want to quit taking this med all together, however at this time I need it to help with weight loss.

Without the meds all the work I do does no good. So until I can reduce the weight I am stuck running to the bathroom several times a day, NOT fun.

Do you have a Bucket Weight Loss list?
