If you have ever been to any sort of big event, you know how important it is to have some sort of crowd control. Whether it be security guards walking around, or even police officers on call. You can never be to prepared when it comes to these events. I have been to several Music in the park type events, and have always seen some type of barricades.
Having control over the crowd is a must, many people like to see action at these events, so fights and riots can possibly break out. Specially if they’re serving alcoholic beverages. Many event planners will make sure to have stanchions in place for better crowd control.
How many of you have been to an event where they have such barricades in place? If not maybe you have watched an award shows on TV such as the Grammys and seen the velvet rope keeping excited fans at bay. If they didn’t have such props in place the actors probably would stay at home.
If you are every going to throw your own event, it is important to take proper measures to ensure not only your staff is safe, but also the ones attending the event are safe as well.
