Coming Soon Recipes!

I love cooking, and soon I will be posting more recipes. I am what you may call an experimental cook. If I don't have much on hand I will make the most with what I have. Sometimes it is a bust and sometimes it is amazing. As soon as we get back to Tennessee I will be working on living a healthier lifestyle. I recently found out I have Arthrosis in both knees, so that means I must lose a lot of weight to help take some weight off my knees. I am on meds that I will probably have to take for the rest of my life. I probably would have never found this out, if we were not staying at my sisters. She has a lot of stairs, and walking them was killing my knees. My doctor wanted to send me in for xrays, and sure enough she seen the problem. I also just found out bad knees run in the family so being fat, and having bad knees is not a good thing. Once I get rid of some of this fat, and am able to move a bit better. I know it won't be hard to get rid of a bunch more fat. My husband is … [Read more...]

How Is Your Relationship

Have you ever stopped and wondered how your grandparents stayed married for all those years? I would like to say the answer is simple, but it really isn't. Relationships are just like anything else, if you want it to keep working you have to keep the upkeep on it. The line of communication has to stay open! Communication is a must in any relationship, whether it be with your spouse or with your family/friends. My husband and I don't have a perfect relationship, no one does. However, we know when we have disagreements or arguments we will find away past them. Sometimes it takes some screaming and crying, but in the long wrong we come out of it stronger, and I think more love for eachother. I mean that right there proves ones love to each other, when you can overcome those bumps. Are you one of those that are bad at expressing yourself without breaking down? I am one of those! I have a hard time when I try to express things I bust down crying. I guess it is who I am a very … [Read more...]

Making the best of our tiny dining room

Guest post written by Kimberly Standford Our house definitely isn't' the biggest. But I don't think that the two of us really need anything bigger, at least not for the time being. I'm working on decorating everything to make things seem bigger and more welcoming to everyone who visits us. So I'm working on outfitting our dining room so that we won't hesitate to bring a bunch of people over for dinner parties and other events. I've been doing a whole lot of research on it so that we can find the best possible deal and see what other people have done to save money and make their spaces look bigger. Those are our two main concerns in this project. When I was looking for some space-expanding ideas, I saw some info on Sears cabinet refacing. After I looked through it a little bit I decided that we should use Sears when we decide to actually start to renovate our kitchen. But first things first, we're going to focus on our dining room. I already have a favorite paint color picked … [Read more...]

Last Day Of Winter

So today is the last day of winter here in Michigan, and we hit a whopping 82 degrees! I cannot believe I just said that, I can never remember Michigan being this hot in March. I remember when my husband and I first met, it was in April, the middle of April at that and it was snowing. This winter in Michigan has been so weird. I am glad we had a mild one for the sake of us from Tennessee, but I wish my daughter would have actually been able to see what a winter is about. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks, we will be on our way back to Tennessee, and trying to return back to our life. I am glad we were able to come up to Michigan for a short period so we could spend time with my family. For money reasons, I wish we would have stayed in Tennessee. Alot of things happened after we got up here, and well yea. I am just ready to go back home, ready to be in my own bathroom, ready to sleep in a tshirt and panties if I want, and ready to just be me. … [Read more...]

Google+

How many of you love Google+? I personally never got the hang of it, and I think all the social media platforms I am on,  is enough. I remember when the main site I went to was Myspace. I loved being able to change my background, and bitch about people on my own little world. Then facebook came a long, and I hated it. Until one day my husband got on it, and I decided to give it a try. Needless to say I somewhat like it, and I am on it often throughout the day. Google+ I have a feeling will not make it far, Google will not allow people to have their accounts private. Sometimes I don't want to be found, and the whole thing confuses me. I like some of the features, but I don't think those features are enough to keep it going strong. Don't get me wrong I love Google, but I think they maybe better off being the top search engine. I have recently noticed with Chrome, it runs a ton of processes and bogs my computer down. I hope Google+ pulls through for those who do like it, and I … [Read more...]

Getting Great Deals

I love getting good deals. I have been keeping an eye on nomorerack.com, a friend of mine has been scoring some great deals, and it is never to early to start shopping for the holidays. How many of you begin Christmas shopping the day after Christmas? I do! I love hitting up those markdown racks the day after. Not to mention all the deal sites. I have noticed the deal sites, have more deals during the Summer months. Nomorerack has always been one of my favorite go to sites when I want to pick up a few things here and there for family and friends. When you purchase items on sale, you will be able to get everyone on your list a great gift. I have scored some nice electronics for over half off, by doing all my shopping early. It seems like the stores up the price during the holidays. If you are one of those that wait until the last minute to do your shopping, I suggest you take a few minutes from your day and check out the deal sites, and see what all you can score for cheap. … [Read more...]

Geocaching

With the weather being really nice my family has been enjoying the woods! We went on a nice little hike today and decided to do a little geocaching. I dislike the geocaches in town, love being able to hike in the woods to find treasures. I have found the ones in the wilderness have more items for trade in them as well. Today while we were out we seen two snakes! Snakes already are out in Michigan. Since we started geocaching on November 23 we have found a total of 63 geocaches. I wish we were going to still be up here this Summer, because we would travel Michigan looking for geocaches. When we get back home we will be putting our own geocaches out all over TN. I want to get a better handheld gps unit though. A nice garmin or something. One day I will have me a handheld. Have you geocached? If not I highly recommend it, something fun to do for the whole family. Today we walked about 2 miles, and I can feel it all over. … [Read more...]

More Coming Soon

Dizzy Mommy Chronicles, has somewhat taken a back burner to my everyday life. A lot has been going on, and I cannot discuss it much in detail on my sites. However, hopefully within the next month or so things will get back to normal. Well some what normal, and I plan on hitting things up in force. My goals for 2012 have changed a bit some. I will be focusing Dizzy Mommy Chronicles, on weight loss and healthy eating. I have struggled with my weight for a very long time, and I am very proud of the fact that I have stayed at the same weight since November! Although my weight it way high, I have not gained a pound with all the stress life has thrown at me. I need to get in better health for my daughter. My goals are to drop at least 50 pounds by her birthday, which will put me at the weight I was when I had her. Her birthday is in August so I think I can do this. I will just have to bust out the weights and get moving. Even if I do a lot of my working out sitting down, I know it … [Read more...]

I also have one for Super 8, this one you would win $500 and 3 night stay to any Super 8, another one I would love to win, and let's not forget the ipads. Where Is Spring?

So I thought spring was just around the corner, when all of a sudden we started getting snow, and ice! I was hoping to come back to Michigan and show my daughter what a real winter looked like. Haha Winter had a different idea, because Michigan had a very odd winter, hardly no snow, and really cold temps. I don't mind cold temps as long as there is some snow too. I went and bought my daughter some snow pants, and she didn't even need them. She has wore them a few times. Thankfully they will still fit her next year so when we get some snow down South she will be warm! Hopefully this time next month we will be on our way back South. I am going to miss all my family up here in Michigan, but I am ready for my life to somewhat go back to normal. I have to figure out what to do next with my life. Things have been to nuts, and I cannot even go into details on my sites, that is how crazy life has been. This whole moving thing was both good and bad, bad because it has cost me a lot of … [Read more...]
