NEWS FLASH The Product WAS NOT FREE
I am so sick and tired of people stating products received are free... I have heard this many times, and I am getting sick of it. The other day a PR firm informed me people will do whatever they have to, to get that free item. This came from me informing her I don't like the idea of making three mandatory tasks. When I enter giveaways if there are a lot of hoops I pass. With most that enter already hitting their limits on facebook and twitter making the mandatory involving those make people back away. This evening as I was on facebook I happen to run across this comment a blogger posts.. Really, you are going to complain about the way you have to enter a FREE giveaway! OMG, please relax and say thank you...These events are not easy to get together...many bloggers work day and night to put some of these together for no pay at all...Sorry everyone but a complainer never gets anywhere in life...END RANT Now let me say this... I often see bloggers bitch about people saying they get … [Read more...]

Cooking Out
My family does everything backwards. During the summer months it's just to hot to have cookouts unless you have a pool close by. Now that fall is upon us we will be enjoying those cookouts. All this next week we will be in the low 80's which is the perfect weather for hanging with the family and eating some yummy food. Growing up in the North then slowly migrating to the South, we have a little of both at our cookouts. When my husband and I met we brought in a few of our favorites to make a new tradition. In the north the main side dishes were... macaroni salad, potato salad, baked beans, and cottage cheese. You cannot have a cookout without those 4 items. In the south they do pork, whether it be ribs, loins or shredded. For those who think when it comes to cooking out you cannot have the best of both worlds you can indeed. Whenever we do have cook outs I have several requests. My macaroni salad is to die for. What are some of your favorites when having a cookout? … [Read more...]
Purchasing A Domain Name
When I first started my blogs I was up in the air on domain names. I knew I needed one, and a free one wasn't an option for me. I wanted to be known by name, not that one blog on wordpress.com. Over the years the price of domains have went up pretty high. I remember when you could get one for about $5, now I am paying double and triple that a year. However, with a little searching you can find codes for cheap domains. Such as the 1and1 coupon I found which will let you register a com/org domain for as little as $1.99. When I purchased my domain I was just starting out so I was pretty clueless, but when my husband got his we used a 1and1 promo code so that we were not breaking the bank if he decided he would prefer a different domain. My husband has personally owned about 4 different names. After he hits the button to make the purchase he thinks of another name he likes better. With having to pay $15 each year to renew my domain, no way will I let him purchase through a more … [Read more...]

Remodeling The Guest Bathroom
We have lived in our currently location off and on for about 11 years. We have two bathrooms, one in our bedroom and one for guests. Or what we would like to say our daughter's bathroom. This bathroom has a place for a bathtub/shower; however, we never felt the need to have one installed because our daughter used our shower in the master bedroom. It wasn't until recently, we decided it was time we see about remodeling the guest bathroom. I guess it had to do with having a family member move in, and I don't want to share my shower. I have been looking at different lighting to go in the guest bathroom I want lighting that will set off the shower. We are in the process of installing a tile shower. The bathroom isn't a very big one so we thought a shower would be best. When it comes to remodeling there's so many things to take into factor. How many of you turn to the internet when it comes time to remodel to get an idea of designs and cost? The internet is my main go to place … [Read more...]
Security Cameras Come in Handy
There has been some issues around here lately, my husband and I have 3 security cameras in place. Two I received for review, and the one I won. I have to say I love all three, the one actually records and uploads to a cloud server, this allowing me to check the feed while I am away or if I have been sleeping. The other two I have set up to email me when it detects motion. I went outside this morning and noticed someone had been in my yard, because a few things are missing. With the drama going on I knew who it was and why they took the items. HOWEVER, they have been informed by the police they CANNOT come in this yard without permission, and we have no trespassing signs in our yard. This lady thinks she is above the law, she thinks she has say over everyone and everything. She found out the hard way she doesn't have say over everything, and if she comes in my yard again she will find out the hard way she isn't above the law. This is the reason to have security cameras, I want … [Read more...]
