Do You Suffer From Social Phobia?

You maybe wondering right about now, what exactly is social phobia. Don't worry I was wondering the same thing, when the doctor wrote on that paper that's what I suffer from. It all started about 10 years ago, right after I had my daughter. I guess now it makes since, I stopped working and became a stay at home mom. Although, I loved every minute of it, I now wish I had stayed in the work force. Social Phobia, also know as a social anxiety disorder. This disorder is when a person becomes overwhelmingly anxious and excessively self-conscious in everyday social situations. Those that suffer from social anxiety disorder have a fear of being watched and judged by others. This fear often becomes so powering that it interferes with their everyday activities. Even shopping can be a challenge. I always new there was something wrong with me, I thought it was just anxiety, I would have never labeled myself as one with "Social Phobia". After the doctor stated that is what she thought I had, … [Read more...]

Buying Clunkers

When I go out and spend money on a vehicle I expect to get at least my moneys worth out of it. When I was 21 I went and purchased my first car, it was a Pontiac Grand Prix, I happen to love my Pontiac's we have owned 3 total. However, when I purchased my first car, I ended up paying more than it was worth. I was planning a trip and I needed to make sure this car would make it there, and back. I informed the dealer of this, and they assured me, said if anything was to break they would make sure I had a rental and it was fixed. Well needless to say it didn't turn out that way, and I had to threaten them to get a Lemon Law Attorney. It happened back in 2000, I was going to Tennessee to see my now husband, I made it half way when the car went blah on the interstate. I was stranded, no phone, no nothing. Long story short, my husband came to get me from Illinois we left the car, and came back for it, I called the dealership, explained what happened. He told me pretty much to deal with … [Read more...]

However, I have found an absolutely amazing doctor, she is awesome. Have you ever went to the doctor only for them to asked rushed, or as if you are wasting their time? How about called to talk to the doctor only to be given the nurse instead... Let me tell you not at this doctors office, she sat there, and talked to me about many issues I was having, she let me know if I needed ANYTHING or just someone to talk to, to call her at the office and she would be there to listen to my issues. She is going to be addressing all health issues I have, such as my anxiety, IBS, the knee issues, and a few other problems I have. When we were in Tennessee going to the doctor was a joke, they wanted to assume this was wrong with you, and assume that wasn't. I have had severe anxiety for awhile now, I am now hopefully going to be treated for this, and I … [Read more...]

I Should Have Figured It Out A Long Time Ago

We have always told our daughter Santa brings the stocking and we do the rest, well this year she discovered the truth. She thought it was pretty funny that mom and dad were Santa, Easter Bunny, and Tooth Fairy. I honestly think she has known for a lot longer though, because when she was about 6, she mentioned there was no way Santa could go to everyone's house in only a day. Anyways, we went to the store today, and she seen some stuffed animals, and the box they were in was marked "Stocking Stuffers" She makes sure to point it out and goes... "I cannot believe, I didn't figure it out a long time ago" I was confused on what she was talking about. I asked her "Figure what out" she runs her finger across the words stocking stuffer while saying it... Then it dawned on me, she was referring to Santa! She couldn't believe she didn't figure out we were Santa! I just laughed and told her to be quiet, wasn't sire if there was any small children close by, and trust me I don't want my … [Read more...]

Getting Clothes For Less

One thing I dislike about moving is I get so use to certain things, like places to shop. We have only been back in Michigan for about 3 months or so, and I have no idea where all the good stores are, my daughter is needing some warm winter clothes and I have no clue where to even head to first. My sister has told me a few places she shops at, but I am looking for a children's clothing store that has a lot of good deals. When we lived in Tennessee I found a store that had name brand clothes at almost 90% off! I scored so many great deals, however, they ended up going out of business so I was left trying to find another place that offered the same great deals. Lately, I have just been watching the mark down aisles, but it gets pretty hard trying to score good deals for older children. I am hoping after Christmas there will be a ton of clothing sales. What are some stores you shop at when it comes time to by the kids new clothes? One of these days, I might just venture out and … [Read more...]

Okay, so it seems I have been getting a lot of wonderful spam lately. And although, I love me some spam on some bread, I don't care for it much on my site. I thought I had that wonderful "check here if you are NOT a spammer" however, I didn't. Great news though for all you spambots, I have enabled it, so I will save you some time. You can now remove Dizzy Mommy Chronicles from your list of places with open comments. Also, please make note just because you can check that post that you are not a spammer, doesn't mean your comment will magically appear. If I feel your comment is spam, I will properly move it to the trash bin. If you actually leave a relevant comment, then I will be more than happy to pass it on through. :) … [Read more...]

Home Loans Made Simple

The majority of U.S. citizens will at some point in their lives require a loan. People seek loans for many reasons, but a lot of these loans are for new home purchases or mortgages on already owned properties. New home purchases are in fact at an all time low. With the unemployment rate soaring, foreclosures are at an all time high. While this is a terrible sign of economic decline it is a perfect opportunity for buyers. Prices of pre-owned properties have dropped tremendously in the last 5 years. What once would have sold for $100,000.00 may go for as little as $45,000.00 today. With the current state of things it is most certainly a buyers market. This flood of foreclosures and property value decreases mean that this is the perfect opportunity for many first time home owners; property resellers; or anyone who may be interested in acquiring additional homes and properties. So you have made the choice to buy a home, but still there is the process of finding a particular property … [Read more...]

I was born and raised here in Michigan, moved to Tennessee with my husband in 2004, and had not been back to Michigan until just now.
