These are metal apparatuses that can help control the flow of traffic entering and exiting a building. They are ideal for security purposes as many businesses want to make sure no one gets inside without the proper paperwork or a ticket. Some businesses want to make sure no one gets inside who might have any kind of weapon. The turnstile will usually only allow one person at a time to enter, giving someone monitoring the device a chance to check for a ticket to get into the event or to check a bag that might be suspicious.
