6 more weeks until Halloween

Only 6 more weeks until Halloween, and I am pretty excited. Do you know what your kiddos will be this year? This year dear daughter is wanting to go as a Monster High girl, however, I am not sure that will happen. With money being tight right now, those costumes, are just a bit to pricy for my pocket book.

I have priced them and the whole costume, wig, and make-up would be about $40. I can only imagine what a family with more than one kid pays for, during Halloween. To be honest we usually stick with the cheap Halloween Costumes at Walmart. Yea there is not much of a selection, but they are a bit cheaper.

This year I want to have a small Halloween party, sort of like a celebration for being back in Michigan. I think my nieces, and daughter would have a blast. I already know they will have fun going trick 0r treating this year.

When we lived in Tennessee, Halloween was not to celebrated, well not in the area I lived in anyways, we were lucky to find 3 houses in a row celebrating. We always ended up going to the ball park where they were putting on a small event. Sure it was fun, but way packed, and most times we were in an out within 20 minutes.

What do y’all have planned this Halloween?

I so wish Aussies would embrace Halloween, it is barely done here, though has been picking up speed. It is viewed as an “American” holkiday here, so has never really been celebrated. I was in the USA for Halloween a few years ago and LOVED it!!

I want to take our girls over to see family maybe next year (husband is from Hawaii, with family on the mainland as well as Hawaii) and combine it with Halloween. Would love a white Christmas too. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I wish we only had a white Christmas, then the snow all went away! Halloween in the South, is not the same as the Halloween in the North. I am super excited about this year, and I went and bought the kiddo the Monster High Costume she had been wanting, thank goodness for amazon gift cards!
